Many schools around the South-West and other Provinces visit The Gardens to learn about plants and animals, particularly about the rarest and endangered species in the region. An example is the Ancistrocladus korupensis plant, which with further research may provide a possible cure for AIDS.
Currently, school authorities are keen to teach their students about the activities of the different sub-programmes such as the Conservation Technology Development (CTD); Spatial Analysis & Databases and Socio-economic assessment services, which may help many of them in their academic careers.
