Nature Clubs
Nature Clubs are held within The Gardens to raise pupils enthusiasm for biodiversity and conservation issues and encourage visiting pupils and schools to become involved.
- Children's Holiday Environmental Workshop (CHEW)
The essence of these popular workshops is making learning fun. Children learn about their environment through different activities including games, poetry and songs.
During the long vacations (July-August), over 2000 children of all ages come to The Gardens, twice a week to learn about the importance of the environment with the assistance of volunteers.
The theme for CHEW 2001 was "Water and the Environment". By the end of the workshop the children are given a positive outlook on their environment and how to conserve it.
- Public Holidays
On National and Public Holidays, educational activities are organised in The Gardens involving thousands of children who come to learn about the environment.
- EE Films
Produced to be used in school and other public institutions as an educational tool to inform others of environmental issues.
- Public Talks
The Gardens invite the public to attend talks on many environmentally related topics.
