Meetings are held on the second Friday of every month, although management meetings are held twice monthly to monitor the progress of projects underway. Internationally, FoG are linked up to the Friends of Kew Botanic Gardens, who help in publicising their fundraising campaign.

Membership categories:

• Corporate Membership:
  Open to all business enterprises or philanthropic organisations willing to donate materially, financially or otherwise to promote specific projects within The Gardens. Currently, FoG have ten corporate members, viz. SO. NA. RA, Limbe Urban Council, SAMCO Enterprise, SOROPTIMIST International, C.D.C. Halliburton, Guinness Cameroon, Kenya Airways, Fine Furniture and Brasseries du Cameroun.

• Sustainers:
  Individuals willing to pay FCFA 50,000 or more annually to promote the work of FoG.

• Members:
  Individuals contributing a minimum of FCFA 10,500 annually to FoG.

• Friends:
  Individuals contributing a sum of FCFA 1,500 annually. A great majority of our adherents fall into this category.

The FoG Executive is made of: Chairperson, Vice-chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Financial Secretary, Publicity Secretary, Adviser.

Projects carried out by FoG:

1. FoG initiated:
   • The building of the Visitors' Centre
   • The Hotspot Restaurant
   • The Cut Flower Garden

2. FoG carried out:
   • The construction of public toilets to serve the Hotspot Restaurant
   • The children's playground in the Central Field of The Gardens

3. FoG provide volunteers to:
   • Assist in at the Library
   • Collect plant species for the Herbarium
   • Provide of guided tours to visitors of The Gardens
   • Assist with Environmental Education Programmes

Currently, FoG is engaged in the reconstruction of the oldest house of the Garden (House E), which will eventually serve as the permanent office for The Friends.
